Bungalow Extension Carbis Bay - Final Phase
Our final phase at this detached property in Carbis Bay involved the construction of block cavity walls for the two extensions along with associated concrete lintels/galvanised steel beams. With a recent change in building regulations the cavity wall insulation was increased to allow for compliance. Cavity trays, DPC’s, stainless steel wall ties were all inspected by our building control officer and this phase was approved successfully. Waste management was handled with large skips and grab lorries for aggregate recycling and vast proportions of the building fabric containing asbestos was professionally removed by a local asbestos specialist. Internally the property was stripped back to structural substrates and timber partitions were constructed. A new member of the Blue wave team arrived (John) who we’ve taken on as an apprentice and subsequently enrolled at a local college for further training.
