Period Property Renovation - St. Ives
After recommendation we were contacted by a Sir & Dame to fully renovate their Edwardian period house in St. Ives, Cornwall. Over a period of 6 months we fully renovated this property from top to bottom, inside and out to the clients requests, fully project managed by Blue Wave Design & Construction Services LTD.
The project wasn’t without its challenges as the property was over 110 years old with crumbling lath & plaster walls, inadequate 1990’s double glazing and a drainage problem throughout. An initial Asbestos survey (whole house testing) revealed asbestos under the staircase on ground & first floor so asbestos specialists were appointed to safely remove the material and provide a safe air test ready for us to commence our works. Openreach installed a fibre optic broadband cable to give the new office space the data boost it deserves for this professional working couple & their family. Blue Wave DCS ltd carried out all the sanitary plumbing & electrical rewire, structural works, kitchen & bathroom installation, plastering, decorating, external landscaping/rendering and finally the water mains upgrade.
