Commercial Structural Waterproofing - Tregenna Hill, St. Ives

We’ve just handed over the completed project back to the happy clients who asked Blue Wave DCS Ltd to address the substantial water ingress problems that they were experiencing on this period commercial property. Situated on the steep incline of Tregenna Hill - St. Ives, the property was subject to regular flooding due to rising ground water tables. We approached the task with extreme caution as it was clear that many renovations had been made over the last century which revealed asbestos was present in many of the materials that required removal. After consulting with Alium Ltd who conducted an asbestos survey & testing of the internal property we arranged for them to remove certain asbestos materials prior to the commencement of works.

The original shop/office unit was in desperate need of complete renovation and most importantly a solution to the rising groundwater flooding. Blue Wave DCS Ltd liaised with a sump & pump specialist who provided a custom Type C protection kit which incorporated an appropriate internal water management system allowing water to penetrate through the external wall or floor and travel behind a specialist membrane to a controlled drainage system.

To complete the project, Blue Wave DCS Ltd dry lined the lower room and decorated the property throughout ready for any future commercial tenant to move in and begin trading. A heavy duty bespoke staircase was designed and built in house alongside installation of a new Positive Input Ventilation System and partial electric rewire. Upon completion the results were instantly recognised by the owners and neighbouring vendors who complimented how dry and clean the environment had become.
